Woodenbridge Paddlers fundraising journey to support new Centre for Autism in Rathdowney

The Woodenbridge Paddlers group are set to embark on an ambitious journey with funds raised going to a very worthy cause.

On a fine Sunday in September 1999, a group of paddlers set out on a journey from the Woodenbridge to John’s Bridge in Kilkenny.

25 years later, on Sunday, August 11, the Woodenbridge Paddlers will attempt to retrace that journey.

This will be a fundraising venture to support the new Centre for Autism in St Fergal’s College Rathdowney.

The Woodenbridge Paddlers are well-known for their community events and have assembled quite a back-catalogue.

The group organise fundraisers for local causes, host magnificent festivals, and even attempt Guinness World Records.

All are invited to take part or support this latest venture to support St Fergal’s College.
