Alan Hartnett has been appointed as the new Content Manager with LaoisToday, effective from today, Friday, June 28.
The Stradbally native had previously been a reporter with LaoisToday since its inception in February 2017 and brings a wealth of experience to this new role having worked in every facet of LaoisToday as well as in his previous roles with The Irish Sun and the Laois Nationalist.
Alan has a BA in Economics, Politics and Law and an MA in Journalism from DCU.

“Alan has been a vital and central part of the LaoisToday team since before our website even went live in early 2017.
“Be it politics or sport or anything in between, Alan has a broad understanding of local life in Laois and has the skills and knowhow to lead and shape LaoisToday’s editorial content, be it on our site or app, in video or podcast format or on our range of social media accounts.”
The new role will see Alan oversee the daily content on LaoisToday and manage the various reporters and contributors that feed into LaoisToday.
