Summer means good weather (hopefully), holidays, 99’s, festivals and summer camps. The lead up to summer holidays from school can often involve discussions around what’s on and when.
To help, this year, we have once again compiled a handy week by week listing of what summer camps are being ran around the county. All the important details are there to allow you plan ahead and make the most of what’s available.

Camps will run over 4 days and will be primarily OUTDOOR camps. Set on a 2 acre site we have lots of outdoor space for large scale painting and making – think forest camp mixed with art camp. It’s going to be such fun!

Let’s Go Camps
Let’s Go! Summer Schools operate multi activity sports camps. Each Let’s Go! Multi Activity Summer Camp offers two programmes of activities, one for the 5-6 year olds (children must be attending primary school) and the second for children aged 7-12 years.

The Sonas Kids Camp is run by primary school teacher and Laois GAA strength and conditioning coach, Pauraic McEvoy. The camp will include fundamental movement skills, balance and co-ordination, strength and conditioning as well as yoga and mindfulness.

Active Campers Summer Camp
Active Campers is a Summer Camp in Kiladooley, outside Borris In Ossory. There will be an array of activities including arts and crafts, baking, rounders, tennis, unihoc, drama, Lego, science experiments and lots more.

Little Treasures Preschool Summer Camp
This summer camp caters for the younger age group and will run from the last week in June.
There are various time slots available over the course of the three weeks that the camp is running.
Little Treasures is based on the Borris Road in Portlaoise and the camps will involve both indoor and outdoor activities along with arts and crafts and sensory play.

- Times: Monday-Friday, 10am-2pm.
- Ages: 6-13 years
- Cost: €75 for 1st child; €60 for 2nd child; €50 for 3rd and subsequent children. The cost for a child attending a second camp ,without receiving kit and bag, is €50.
