Planning: Applications made for medical clinic in Mountrath, car rental hub in Portlaoise, ball wall in Timahoe, and sprint lanes in Emo

Medical Clinic, Mountrath

Giselle Lopes Semedo dos Reis has applied to the County Council seeking planning permission to form a new medical clinic in Mountrath.

The application is for the change of use of an existing ground floor retail unit on Main Street, Mountrath to form the new clinic.

The development is to include, alterations to the existing entrance, new signage, internal alterations and all associated site development works.

Car rental hub, Portlaoise

ERAC Ireland Ltd are seeking to construct a modular office building to be used as a car rental hub on the New Road in Portlaoise.

The development is to include the construction of a detached canopy to be used as a car wash and valeting bay.

Site works to consist of a relocated vehicular entrance, car parking, EV charging spaces, landscaping, bicycle shelter, lighting, signage, and connection to public mains.


Timahoe GAA

Timahoe GAA have applied to the County Council for planning permission to construct a five meter high ball wall with fence enclosure and adjoining AstroTurf playing area.


Emo Rath Athletic Club

Emo Rath Athletic Club, meanwhile, are in the process of seeking permission to install tartan sprint lanes, a long jump pit, and a throwing circle at the Emo Community Centre.
