Laois based artist, Evgeny Chubatyy, has been awarded with the prestigious Salaski Award at the Chelsea Art, London.
The prize winning piece was first exhibited in Evgeny Chuabatyy’s solo show last September as part of the culture night in the Laois Arthouse.
The esteemed prize was awarded to Evgeny for his outstanding work, ‘Transformation of the Sphere’.
The Slaski Sculpture Award was established to encourage and acknowledge exceptional achievements in sculpture.
The award, named in honour of its founder, aims to support talented artists and promote their work internationally.
The piece of work has been described as a sculpture made of slate, distinguished by its high level of craftsmanship.
“The work explores ideas of multidimensional space and philosophical reflections on the nature of reality”.
“The sculpture raises questions about what we see and what remains beyond our perception, inviting viewers to contemplate the true nature of the world, which we may not always fully grasp”.
Evgenys work has received high praise from others in the art industry for its accurate execution and conceptual approach.
