It was a hectic day of action in O’Moore Park today as the second day of this year’s Cumann na mBunscol hurling and camogie finals took place.
Ten finals were down for decision and three Laois schools featured in three each – Portarlington, Abbeyleix, Rath and Timahoe.
Of those, Timahoe, Portarlington and Abbeyleix were the most successful as they claimed two victories from the three finals they contested.
And it was a special day for the Bowe family as Ruairi and his younger brother Iarlaith both claimed glory.
Ruairi was on the Timahoe team that defeated neighbours Stradbally for Division 4 Shield glory while Iarlaith was in goal on the Division 6 all-conquering side.
In the other finals, Rath, The Heath, Raheen and Emo were all victorious.
It takes considerable time and resources for LaoisToday to cover 24 Cumann na mBunscol finals over three days. Please respect this and refrain from sharing screengrabs of our reports.
