Melissa is survived by her loving children Ian, Abbie and Lee, her loving partner Padraig, her parents Nora and Joe, brothers P.J. and Philip, sisters Leona and Amanda, grandchildren Michelle, Jamie and Ben, brothers-in-law Alan and Damien, sisters-in-law Martina and Emma, aunts, uncles, cousins, and a huge circle of colleagues and friends.
Reposing at her residence from 4pm. on Tuesday with Prayers at 8pm. Removal to the Church Of The Most Holy Rosary, Abbeyleix on Wednesday for 12 noon Requiem Mass. Interment afterwards in St. Patrick’s Cemetery.
Eileen Fitzpatrick (née Lyons)
Mountrath, Laois, R32DW32
Eileen Fitzpatrick (née Lyons), Paddock, Mountrath, Co.Laois. Died 27th May 2024, peacefully in her 94th year at the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise. Predeceased by her beloved husband Lar, her sister Laetitia (Moloney) and her brother Jimmy. Deeply regretted by her loving daughter Noreen (Phelan), her son-in-law Pat, her grandchildren Patrick and Lorna, her sister Josie (Rafter), her sister-in-law Peggy, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at her daughter Noreen’s residence (Rushin Road, Mountrath, Eircode: R32 DW32) on Tuesday evening (May 28th) from 5pm concluding with Rosary at 9pm. Removal on Wednesday (May 29th) afternoon to St. Edmund’s Church, Castletown (Eircode: R32 KT22) for Requiem Mass at 2pm, followed by Burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery, Mountrath.
Paddy Scully
Rathfredagh, Cheshire Home, Newcastle West, Limerick / Roscrea, Tipperary / Camross, Laois
And Derragooney, Knock, Roscrea and formerly of Ballinrally, Camross, Co. Laois.
Peacefully in the care of the staff of Rathfredagh, Cheshire Home, Newcastle West. Co. Limerick and surrounded by his loving family.
Pre-deceased by his parents Jim and Josie, brother John and brother-in-law Kieran O Dea.
Deeply regretted by his brother Ted, sisters Mary (O Dea), Frances (McDermott) and Josie (Morrissey), brothers-in-law Michael McDermott and Michael Morrissey and sister-in-law Sarah Scully, his nieces, nephews, relatives, good neighbours and wide circle of friends.
Reposing in Rathfredagh, Cheshire Home, Newcastle West, Co. Limerick (V42 RW63) on Monday afternoon from 2.00pm to 5.00pm.
Reposing in Tierney’s Funeral Home, Roscrea (E53 NY70) on Tuesday afternoon from 4.00pm to 7.00pm.
Private removal from Tierney’s Funeral Home on Wednesday morning at 11.30am arriving in St. Patrick’s Church, Knock, Roscrea (E53 XF63) for Funeral Mass at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.
Gordon Long
Leixlip, Kildare / Mountmellick, Laois
Long, Gordon (Thomas) Leixlip, Co. Kildare and formerly of Mountmellick, Co. Laois, May 24th., 2024 (peacefully) in the loving care of St Brigid’s Hospice, Kildare. Much loved husband of Mabel (née Craig) and cherished father of Andrea, Melanie, Rachel and the late Janet. An adored grandfather and great grandfather.
He will be forever missed by his loving wife, daughters, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law Charles, Colin, John and Emerson, brothers Ivan and Philip, (predeceased by his brothers George and Percy, and his sister Eva), brothers in-law, sisters in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, neighbours and a large circle of friends.
Special thanks to his wonderful carers and all the staff at St. Brigid’s Hospice.
Gordon’s Funeral Service will take in St. Andrew’s Church of Ireland, Lucan on Tuesday (May 28th) at 11am followed by cremation in Newland’s Cross Crematorium.
