Truck and Tractor run set to take place in Timahoe in aid of national school

There is a Truck and Tractor run taking place in Timahoe on Saturday May 25 with all proceeds going towards the national school in Timahoe.

The event is being run by the Timahoe Vintage and Heritage Club with all funds raised being used to provide IT resources for Scoil Mhuire Fatima.

All trucks, tractors and vintage vehicles are welcome and registration will take place in the village at 3pm with the run itself commencing at 5pm.

Music performances and a ‘Monster Draw’ will also be held as it promises to be a wonderful day out.

Prizes for the draw are as follows; First place – €500, Second place – €250, Third place -€100 and spot prizes will also be up for grabs.

Tickets for the raffle are 3 for €5 and will be available for purchase on the day.

Chairperson for the vintage club, Darragh Headen is looking forward to what promises to be a memorable event.

He said: “As a newly formed club, we are very excited about the event. The committee has worked very hard in organising the event and we are hopeful of a big turnout on the day”.

“We are very grateful to other organisations in our community for their help and support”.

“We would also like to thank vintage clubs from surrounding parishes in supporting our efforts to publicise the event”.

“We hope to see as many Trucks and Tractors, both old and new, in our Heritage Village on the 25th of May”.
