De La Salle, Castletown, Laois / Lombardstown, Cork

Br. Alphonsus (Tim) Murphy, De la Salle Brothers, Castletown, Portlaoise and late of Gortmore, Lombardstown, Co. Cork. May 12th, 2024.

Predeceased by his parents Margaret and Denis, brothers Owen, Denis and Paddy, sisters in law Peggy Murphy and Eileen Murphy, brother in law Denis O’Connell.

Deeply regretted by his sisters Kathleen (O’Connell) and Mary (Farrell), brother in law Brendan Farrell, nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, relatives, friends, neighbours, past pupils in Mauritius and South Africa and especially his confreres’ in religion and staff in Miguel House.

Reposing in Miguel House, Castletown (R32 NX40), this Wednesday (May 15th) from 11 am with Evening Prayer and Rosary at 7 pm.

Br. Alphonsus’s Funeral Mass on Thursday (May 16th) at 2 pm. Burial immediately afterwards in the Monastery Cemetery, Castletown.

John Lalor
Tower Hill, Shaen, Emo, Laois

John Lalor of Tower Hill, Shaen, Emo, Co. Laois (R32RW13).

John passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise.

Pre-deceased by his parents Christopher and Sheila, sisters Julia and Nora.

Dearly beloved husband of Betty, loving father to Sheila, Eoin, Cathal and Àine.
Sadly missed by his brothers Christopher and Jimmy, brother-in-law Sean, sister-in-law Betty, grandchildren, daughter-in-law Jackie, Àine’s partner Jason and many of his extended close family, relatives and friends.

Reposing in Moloneys Funeral Home Mountmellick on Tuesday from 5.30pm. Recital of The Rosary at 7.30pm. Removal from his home on Wednesday morning to St.Paul’s Church Emo arriving for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Burial after in the adjoining cemetery.

Cathal Lalor
Dublin 16, Dublin / Laois

LALOR, Cathal, 8th May 2024, (Wedgewood, Dublin 16, formerly of Ratheniska, Co. Laois). Suddenly at home. Beloved son of the late Jack and Gretta Lalor, and brother of the late Jack.

Cathal will be forever loved and sadly missed by his sister Sheila, sister-in-law Mary, niece and nephews, grand-nieces, extended family relatives and friends especially those in the Irish Rambling Club.

Reposing at Massey Bros. Funeral Home, Templeogue Village, (D6W AC82) on Thursday afternoon from 3pm – 5pm. Removal on Friday morning to the Church of the Ascension of Our Lord, Balally, (D16 EO32) arriving for 9.30am Requiem Mass, burial thereafter in Ratheniska Cemetery, Co. Laois. Approximate time of arrival is 12.30pm.

Ian (Drez) Henderson
Coolock, Dublin / Portarlington, Laois

Henderson, Ian (Drez), –8th May 2024, (Portarlington, Co. Laois and formerly of Coolock), unexpectedly at his residence. Beloved partner of Maeve. Predeceased by his parents Caítin, John, Sandra’s partner Pierce. Sadly missed by his partner, brother Paul and sister Sandra, Paul’s partner Eve, nephews Baran and Devlin, extended family, friends and neighbours.

Reposing at Jennings Funeral Home, Oscar Traynor Rd, Coolock, on Monday afternoon, 13th May, from 2pm to 4pm. A Funeral Service will take place in Jennings Funeral Home, Oscar Traynor Road on Tuesday morning 14th May at 11am followed by burial in Fingal Cemetery.
