Kathleen (Kay) Rankin (née Redmond)
Wayside, Old Knockmay Rd, Portlaoise, Laois

Rankin (nee Redmond) Kathleen (Kay) of Wayside, Old Knockmay Road Portlaoise on 6th May.

Pre-deceased by her husband Henry, parents Paddy and Bridget, sister Margaret (Meaney) and brother Joseph.

Deeply regretted by her sisters Molly (Kavanagh), Lucy (Byrne), and her brother Jimmy, nieces, nephews, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, extended family, and large circle of friends.

Reposing at her home on Tuesday 7th and Wednesday 8th from 4pm-8pm, with Rosary Recital at 8pm (both evenings).

Requiem Mass on Thursday 9th May at 12 noon in St. Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise, followed by interment in Ratheniska Cemetery.

Abigail Ellen Goodwin
Dunboyne, Meath / Mountrath, Laois

After a short illness and in Connolly Hospital, the death has occurred of Abbie on Friday 3rd May 2024.

Daughter of Richard Chambers and Jane Austin of Rushin, Mountrath. Loved and beloved wife and sweetheart of the late Billy Goodwin. Reunited once again after nearly 18 years. Beloved mother of Jennifer, Jonathan and Lynn, mother in law to Anne and proud Nana to Daniel, Adam, Katie and Abigail. And not forgotten her best friend and companion, her cat Lucy.

Reposing Cunningham’s Funeral Home, Dunboyne (A86X443), on Wednesday from 5pm until 7pm.

Funeral Service on Thursday at 11am in St. Mary’s Church, Clonsilla (D15 T0HE).

Interment in St. Peter’s Church grounds, Mountrath, Co. Laois (R32 EN81) at 2.30pm (approx).

Brendan Tynan
Ard Erin, Mountrath, Laois

Brendan Tynan, Ard Erin, Mountrath, Co. Laois. Died 6th May 2024, peacefully after a short illness, at the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise, surrounded by his loving wife and family. Predeceased recently by his father Ned. sadly missed by his loving wife Patrizia, and his mother Joan, his brothers and sisters, Pauline, Noel, Patrick, Caroline, Annette, Joan and Eddie, nieces, nephews, godson, god daughter, mother-in-law, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, extended family, relatives, neighbours, and friends

Reposing at Burke’s Funeral Home Mountrath on Tuesday evening (May 7th) from 6.0’clock, concluding with Rosary at 8.0’clock. Removal on Wednesday morning (May 8th) to St. Fintan’s Church Mountrath, for Requiem Mass at 10.0’clock, followed by Burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery Mountrath.

Mary Keller (née Dunne)
Lea Road, Portarlington, Laois

Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, at her daughter Ruth’s residence, Lea Road Portarlington. Predeceased by her loving husband Jack, brother Paddy sister Kathleen. Deeply regretted by her loving family Frank, Mary, Paddy, Ann, Bernadette, Kate, Jim, John, Rosemary and Ruth, brother Michael, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and friends.

Reposing at Maher’s Chapel of Rest, Portarlington, on Monday evening from 6pm with Rosary at 8pm. Removal from her daughter Ruth’s residence Lea Road, Portarlington, on Tuesday morning at 10:50am arriving St Michael’s Church, Portarlington, for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Funeral afterwards to St Michael’s Cemetery, Portarlington.

Mary’s Requiem Mass will be streamed live on.

Baby Freya Delaney-Bolger
Mountmellick, Laois / Kildangan, Kildare

Baby Freya Delaney-Bolger. Much too precious for this world. Born and died 1st May 2024.

Beloved new born baby daughter of Orla Delaney Mountmellick Co. Laois and Callum Bolger Ardenode Ballymore Eustace/Kildangan.

Freya is resting at their home in Ardenode (W91 A9C2).

Callers welcome between 5pm – 7pm on Sunday 5th May and house private thereafter please.

Freya’s Mass of the Angels is on Tuesday 7th May at 11am in St Joseph’s Parish Church Mountmellick moving to her final resting place in St Joseph’s Cemetery Mountmellick afterwards.

Freya will be cherished, loved and remembered forever by her heartbroken Mammy and Daddy, grandparents Vincent and Ellen Bolger and Noel and Marie Delaney, aunts Aoife, Aisling and Saoirse Delaney and a huge circle of family and family friends.
