Terence Dunne

The death has occurred of Terence Dunne, Ballintubbert, Co. Laois who passed peacefully at his home, surrounded by his loving wife and family. Sadly missed by his loving wife Margaret, sons and daughters Terence, Sheila (Bergin), Edmund, Gráinne (Brennan), Tom and Dan, daughters-in-law Jennie, Teresa and Aisling, sons-in-law Andy and Francis, grandchildren Eoghan, Grace, Liam, Ned, Áine, Bláithín and Nessa, brothers Fr. Dan and Dick, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews and many friends and neighbours.
Terence will repose at his family home in Ballintubbert (R14 RW53) on Sunday (May 5th) from 4pm with prayers at 8pm. Requiem Mass on Monday (May 6th) at 11am in St. Joseph’s Church, Ballyadams (R14 PF30). The mass will be livestreamed on the Ballyadams facebook page, (see link ballyadamsparish). Removal afterwards to Mount Jerome Crematorium, Dublin for service at 2.30pm (D6W HY98).

Reposing at Maher’s Chapel of Rest, Portarlington (eircode R32 X5XV) on both Saturday and Sunday afternoon from 3pm until 6pm. Funeral Service in Maher’s Chapel of Rest, Portarlington on Monday at 1pm followed by Interment afterwards in St Michael’s Cemetery, Portarlington.
Seamus Scully
Mountmellick, Laois
Seamus predeceased by parents Padraig and Brigid. Survived by his son David, sisters Geraldine and Mary, brother Fergus, brothers in law Gerard and Steve, sister in law Liz, nephews Fiach, Brion, Thomas and Cormac and Leicester Caelinn and Saorla, cousins and extended family.
Reposing Moloneys Funeral Home, Mountmellick Friday from 6pm. Prayers at 7.30pm Removal on Saturday morning at 9.45am to St.Joseph’s Church, Mountmellick for Requiem Mass at 10am. Burial after in St Josephs Cemetery.

Catherine Anne O’Brien (née Nolan)
Aughamaddock, Stradbally, Laois / Carrick-on-Suir, Tipperary
The death has occurred of Catherine Anne O’ Brien (née Nolan), Aughamaddock, Stradbally, Co. Laois and formerly Carrick-on-Suir, Co Tipperary peacefully on the 2nd May 2024 in the excellent care of the nurses and staff in St. Martha’s Ward, St. Vincent’s Hospital, Mountmellick, Co. Laois, surrounded by her loving and devoted husband John and her family.
Sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her husband John, daughter Maeve, sons Morgan and John, grandchildren Oisín, Clodagh, Fionn, Dylan, Conor, Deireann, Maeve, Aoife and John, son-in-law Enda, daughters-in-law Lisa and Colleen, sisters, brothers, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended families, neighbours and her many friends.
Catherine Anne will repose at The Presentation Chapel, Stradbally from 6pm until 8pm this Friday evening with Recital of the Rosary at 7:30pm. Requiem Mass on Saturday at 11am in The Sacred Heart Church, Stradbally. Interment to follow in Oakvale Cemetery, Stradbally.
Tony Carter
Tullore, Ballyroan, Laois
Peacefully in the excellent care of the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise. Predeceased by his parents Michael and Brigid, brothers John, Mikey, Paddy, Billy and Christy, sisters Mary, Rita and Josie. Deeply regretted by his nephews, nieces, cousins, relatives and friends.
Reposing at his residence from 2pm on Friday with prayers at 7 pm. Removal to St. Patrick’s Church, Ballyroan on Saturday for 12 noon Requiem Mass. Interment afterwards in St. Patrick’s.
