A new series of An Ríl Deal is back on our screens, with a Laois performer part of TG4’s search for the next big thing in the World of Irish Dancing.
Fantastic performers of all styles of traditional dance will entertain viewers over eight episodes on the show, from Step dancers, to Sean-Nós dancers, to Set dancers.
The show has been running for four weeks, with episode five this week set to feature Emily Costigan from Mountmellick.
Episode Five will air on Sunday night, April 7, at 8.30pm on TG4 and on the TG4 Player.
Emily will be joined in the episode by Fusion 9 (Kildare), Rinceoirí Seite Kilcummin (Kerry), Oriana Perez Ponce (Meath via Chile), and a number of performers from Dublin, such as Rhys, Troy and Faith Watson-Ormond, Sean Lawlor, and Scoil Rince Dunphy.
There are no age restrictions on the dancers, with a mix of young and old solo dancers, duos and groups.
Keeping a close eye on all the talented hopefuls are the three judges – all experts in the field of Irish dance: Sibéal Davitt, Úna Ní Fhlatharta and Ronan O’Connell.
Presented by Síomha Ní Ruairc, the series features dancers and groups from many counties all across the country.
Each week features different dancers as they battle it out in the hopes of reaching the finale to be crowned winners of An Ríl Deal.
This is the ultimate free-for-all Irish dance competition and a celebration of all the Irish dancing traditions.
