Comrades of Cuisle have formed a committee to raise funds to support the work of the Cuisle Cancer Support Centre in Portlaoise.
The Cuisle Cancer Support Centre provides emotional support to people affected by cancer, including those who care for them, from the time of diagnosis, throughout their cancer journey.
This gentle and caring support takes place in a confidential, professional, and non-judgmental environment.
Comrades of Cuisle are now preparing for a fundraising event that will take place on Friday, March 15, at 7.30pm in Doogue’s Bar, Raheen.
The event will be a live auction, with items including signed sports jerseys, paintings, and All-Ireland tickets.
Solitaire will also provide live entertainment on the night.
All ticket-holders for the event will also be in with a chance to win a 43-inch TV.
This fundraiser aims to enable the Cuisle Cancer Support Centre to support men, women and children affected by cancer.
The Cuisle Cancer Support Centre relies on the continued generosity of public and corporate donations to provide their services free of charge.
Annual running costs are in the region of €250,000 and this is primarily funded by community fundraising.
Those who wish to donate can do so through the committee’s GoFundMe page here.
