Tomás Ni Murchú and Colin Waters, two teachers from Dunamase College attended the BETT Conference in the Excel Centre in London, the biggest education technology exhibition in the world.
BETT saw 30,000 people of the global education community attend, including education changemakers, innovative EdTech providers, game-changing governments, and charities with over 2,000 children and 300 world-class speakers present.
Dunamase College is a digital technology school, therefore it is vital that staff and students remain at the forefront of educational innovation and change.
A spokesperson for the school said: “We are a Microsoft school and as it was a Microsoft event we were able to better gauge how are current practices were running and better equip ourselves for what was coming in the near future.
“It allowed our teachers an invaluable opportunity to visit various forums and workshops, listen to key speakers, test and observe world-renowned new innovative technology.
“Most importantly it gifted our teachers the ability to network with other teachers from all over the world, discussing the use of TechEd in the classroom.”
Tomás O’ Murchú said: “Not only was this a fantastic opportunity to share my experiences of our implementation of EdTech in our growing, developing school but it provided the reassurance and certainty that we, as a school, are really at the top of our game in regards to educational technology.
“After witnessing the advancements of Microsoft Office at full scale it really cemented how beneficial and up to date this modern technology really is, and we’re implementing that everyday in our classrooms.”
