Two internationally renowned YouTubers who have more than 41 million subscribers across three channels were in Portlaoise yesterday.
Olajide Olayinka Williams “JJ” Olatunji, known as KSI, was videoed on social media yesterday afternoon in Laois alongside his companion Tobi Brown (TBJZL).
KSI and Brown, along with Simon Minter (Miniminter), Josh Bradley (Zerkaa), Ethan Payne (Behzinga), Vikram Singh Barn (Vikkstar123) and Harry Lewis (Wroetoshaw), are part of the group known as The Sidemen.
They produce videos of various challenges, sketches, and video game commentaries across their YouTube channels.
And it is believed that this was the purpose of the pair’s visit as they, and the rest of the group, appears to be on a tour of Ireland.
It is understood the group are shooting footage for ‘Sidemen Sunday’ – a video which, you guessed it, comes out every Sunday.
KSI and Brown were pictured in Life Style Sports in the Laois Shopping Centre where KSI was fitted for a Laois GAA jersey.
It is believed that other members of The Sidemen also visited Limerick, Tullamore and Carlow across the trip.
KSI is the CEO of Misfits Boxing and the co-owner of Prime Hydration – the company who make the popular Prime drinks that children are mad for.
With an estimated net worth of $27 million, KSI is also the CEO of XIX Vodka, Sidemen Clothing, and a restaurant chain known as Sides.
As well as all of that, KSI is a very successful musician.
His debut studio album, Dissimulation, released in 2020 and debuted at number 2 on the UK Albums Chart.
His second studio album, All Over the Place, released in 2021 and debuted at number 1.
He has achieved fourteen top 40 singles on the UK Singles Chart, seven of them ending up in the Top 10 and five of them ending up in the Top 5.
And if that wasn’t enough, he has also dabbled in boxing.
He was involved in a white-collar boxing match against Joe Weller in February 2018.
Two further boxing events against American YouTuber Logan Paul took place, the second of which was a professional bout in which he won via split decision in November 2019.
In August 2022, he fought two people in the same night, defeating rapper Swarmz and professional boxer Luis Alcaraz Pineda.
In 2023, he fought FaZe Temperrr in January, Joe Fournier in May and Tommy Fury in October, which he lost via unanimous decision.
Despite all of that – he and Brown were in Portlaoise yesterday and some people captured the appearance on TikTok which you can check out here and below:
