The National Lottery’s appeal to Lotto players in Laois to check their tickets carefully from the November 25 draw has yielded a winner.
The prize, worth an incredible €263,058, remained unclaimed for months until today.
The Laois Lotto winner matched five numbers and the bonus in the Saturday night draw after purchasing their winning Quick Pick ticket on the day of the draw at the Maxol service station on the Dublin Road in Portlaoise.
The winning Lotto numbers in the Saturday, November 25 draw were: 13, 17, 21, 22, 37, 42 and the bonus was 2.
As ticketholders have 90 days from the draw date to claim their prize, the claim deadline for this Match 5 + Bonus prize was close of business on Friday February 23.
A National Lottery spokesperson urged Lotto players in the Portlaoise area of Laois to search far and wide for their old tickets from the November draw to ensure the winner avoids missing out on this €263,058 prize.
And now they have confirmed, that following an appeal, the winner has been found.
They said: “Due to the media coverage of yesterday’s story, the winner has now come forward and arrangements are being made for their prize to be paid.”
