The Great Heath Run has had to endure tough weather conditions over the years – and they got another dog of a day on Sunday for the 2024 version.
But it didn’t deter hundreds of runners braving the wind and rain for the annual event which has become an established fundraiser for the club as well as an established event on the local running scene.
There was both a 5km and a 10km for entrants as well as a family run/walk.
Everything began and finished at The Heath GAA grounds and proceeded around the local roads which were stewarded by local club members.
The results were as follows:
5km ladies
- 1st – Olivia Flanagan
- 2nd – Fionnuala Cleary
5km men
- 1st – Riley Connolly
- 2nd – Trevor Percy
10km ladies
- 1st – Sharon Clear
- 2nd – Aime O’Farrell
10km men
- 1st – Tudor Cebotari
- 2nd – Andrew O’Brien
