Jackie Carroll has been appointed as the new CEO of Laois Chamber Alliance – succeeding Caroline Hofman.
Laois Chamber Alliance is an umbrella body for Laois Chamber and Laois Tourism.
It aims to strengthen networking opportunities, collaborate with events and share resources to create a thriving and bustling economy in Laois for all sectors.
It also aims for Laois to be recognised both nationally and internationally as the ideal location to live, work, visit, invest and do business.
As the largest business representative organisation in Laois with over 150 members, they offer their members networking opportunities, mentoring and supports, and training relevant to all sectors.
Jackie is a native of Laois and returned to live in the county in 2009.
As a career management consultant, she set up her own business consultancy practice in 2018, where she was appointed to animate the Laois Tourism strategy.
Jackie has always promoted Laois as a destination and is excited to support and promote new and existing businesses in Laois.
Jackie’s plan, in collaboration with the board of the Chamber Alliance will be focused on ensuring that all members are consulted and engaged with and they are supported by Laois Chamber Alliance.
Utilising her networking skills, she will look to further build a platform where local businesses and stakeholders are able to communicate, discuss plans and propose ideas.
Jackie’s strategy will involve three main areas of activity:
Firstly, meeting and gathering feedback from all members and stakeholders to understand concerns and opportunities.
Secondly, creating a series of events discussing and exploring topics that are of value to the members.
And lastly, creating engaging online and social media content that showcases Laois as a destination to work, live, visit and primarily do business.
James McElwee, President of Laois Chamber Alliance, paid tribute to outgoing CEO Caroline Hofman and welcomed Jackie Carroll.
He said: “I would like to thank Caroline for her tireless efforts on behalf of the Chamber Alliance and for her continuing support to Chamber activities in her new role as Managing Director of The Cube.
“I am assured that Jackie will bring a determined energy to the role and look to build on the great work of previous CEOs.”
