David McDonald Derrydavy, Mountmellick, Co. Laois, died peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the care of the nurses and doctors in Auckland City Hospital, New Zealand. Sadly missed by his loving partner Flavio Villani and his devastated parents Peter and Elsie. Adored by his sisters Anna, Lizzie and Orla. His beloved nephews Billy and Jack and niece Lucy. Sadly missed by his bothers – in – laws John Ryan, John Kirwan and Gary Guilfoyle, his aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, neighbours and vast circle of friends.

Much loved husband of Evelyn and father of David and Nigel. Will be sadly missed by his grand daughter Nicole and her mother Leanne, his sister Sarah, daughters-in-law Marie and Orla, brother-in-law Christy, sister-in-law Eily, nephews, nieces, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at his residence on Thursday 11th January from 6.00pm to 7.30pm. Requiem Mass on Friday January 12th in St. Joseph and Benildus Church, Newtown, Waterford at 10.30am, followed by burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Ballygunner, Waterford.

Peter Redmond, Redcastle, Mountrath, Co. Laois. Died 8th January 2024, peacefully at the Midlands Regional Hospital Tullamore, in his 93rd year, surrounded by his loving family. Predeceased by his dear wife Mary, and infant daughter, sisters Maureen, Peggy, Gertie, Sally and Bridie, brother Kevin. Deeply regretted by his loving family Margaret, Carmel, Donal, Nuala and Peter, grandchildren Conor, Seán, Róisín, Dearbhla, Brain, Enda and Edel, great-grandson Aidan, brother Bernie, sisters Rose, Sheila and Joan, sons-in-law Ger, Joseph and Lar, daughter-in-law Elizabeth, nieces, nephews, extended family, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Burke’s Funeral Home, Mountrath on Wednesday, 10th January, from 6.0’clock, concluding with Rosary at 8.0’clock. Removal on Thursday morning to St. Fintan’s Church, Mountrath, for Requiem Mass at 10.0’clock, followed by burial in Clonenagh Cemetery.

Fr. Eddie Lalor SPS, St Patrick’s Missionary Society, Kiltegan, Co. Wicklow and late of Raheen, Co. Laois, dioceses of Eldoret, Nakuru and Nairobi, Kenya, and former curate of Portlaoise Parish; died peacefully on January 9th, 2024, at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Dublin. Predeceased by his parents, Thomas and Agnes, his beloved sister Annette and brother P.J. Deeply regretted by his sister Eleanor Robinson, his nephews Patrick and Eddie, nieces Úna and Emma, grandnephews and grandniece Lorraine, the clergy and people of Raheen and Portlaoise, and by his Society family in Kiltegan.
Reposing in St. Peter and Paul’s Parish Church, Portlaoise 5.30pm-7.30pm, Thursday, 11th January. Funeral Mass in St Fintan’s Church, Raheen, Co. Laois, on Friday, 12th January, at 12.00 noon followed by burial at the adjoining cemetery.

Peacefully at her residence, surrounded by her loving family. Pre deceased by her husband Stephen, daughter Mary, brothers Joe, Tom, Stephen, Ned and Brian, sisters Kitty, Nancy and Molly.

Reposing at her residence (R32WD35) on Wednesday 10th of January from 2pm with rosary at 8pm. Removal from her residence on Thursday 11th of January to St. Tighernach’s church, Cullohill for 12 noon Requiem Mass followed by burial in Durrow cemetery.

Treacy, JJ – January 8th, 2024, peacefully, but unexpectedly at the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise, surrounded by his loving family. Pre-deceased by his wife Paula and sister Mary.
Very sadly missed by his loving children Carol, Deirdre, John, Fiona (Kearney), Justin, Catherine (Punch) and Eimear. He will be also sadly missed by his daughters-in-law Caroline and Vivienne, sons-in-law James and Donie, and Deirdre’s partner Mark, brothers Frank, Paddy and Tony, and sisters-in-law, and his adoring grandchildren Grace, Kate, Laura, Ava, Dan, Luke, Jack, Tristan, Alison and Oscar, and wide circle of friends.
JJ is being waked in his house (R32 XY23) on Wednesday the 10th from 5pm to 8pm. Recital of the Rosary at 8pm. Funeral mass on Thursday at 12 noon in St Paul’s Chuch, Emo. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery. House private on Thursday morning please.

Laois) January 4th., 2024 (peacefully) in the loving care of the staff at St. Vincent’s Hospital, Dublin. Beloved husband of Dorothy and much-loved father of Debbie and James and brother of tahe late Anne (Ryan); Mike will be sadly missed by his loving wife, son, daughter, grandchildren Mark, Emma, Sarah, Ruth and Laura, son-in-law Maurice, daughter-in-law Kelly, brothers John and Noel, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
