Back in March Orla Hennessy was granted a scholarship in UCC after getting the perfect score of 625 in her Leaving Cert.
A Laois student has been granted a prestigious scholarship in University College Cork following her stunning Leaving Cert results.
In the summer of 2022, Orla Hennessy was one of two students from Scoil Chriost Ri in Portlaoise to attain the perfect score of 625.
From Killenard, Orla actually achieved the perfect Leaving Cert result as she got seven H1’s.
Orla, daughter of Donal and Mary Hennessy, is now studying Dentistry in the Munster University.
And at a ceremony recently, she was presented with the Quercus Entrance Scholarship.
The Quercus Entrance Scholarships is awarded to First Year undergraduate students, who are admitted via CAO onto a full-time Level 8 primary degree programme offered by the university.
The recipients are selected on the basis of being among the top 15 students in their College with respect to Leaving Cert Points achievement.
Orla’s The award was presented by Professor John O’Halloran, President of UCC.
