The Managing Director of the National Ploughing Association, Anna May McHugh, recently made a presentation to the Cuisle Centre in Portlaoise.
She presented a cheque worth €1,000 to Cuisle Centre Chairman Niall Kavanagh and board member Liam McEvoy.
The midlands Local Enterprise Offices of Laois, Longford, Offaly and Westmeath recently held a National Women’s Enterprise Day Event.
Ms Anna May McHugh, National Ploughing Association Managing Director, was guest speaker and this was where she announced her donation.
This was on behalf of herself and the money will be used to continue the great work that the Cuisle Centre does.
Cuisle Cancer Support provides emotional support and practical help to anyone affected by cancer and their family and friends.
A spokesperson for the Ploughing Association said: “Ms McHugh has expressed her desire to donate to charity, and we are pleased to inform you that she has chosen Laois Cuisle Centre as the beneficiary of her donation.
“We trust that this contribution will support the valuable work that they do in our community.
“We extend our sincere thanks to Ms. McHugh for her commitment to supporting such a worthy cause and for recognising the importance of the organisation in our community.”
