It was a hectic day of action in O’Moore Park today as the first day of this year’s Cumann na mBunscol football finals took place.
In all 11 games took place and they produced 11 different winners.
Killeshin got the day underway by winning the Division 1 Girls Championship in a high standard game and that set the tone for the day.
There were two local derbies with Clough getting the better of Ballacolla in the Division 5 Boys and Durrow seeing off Cullohill in the Division 3 Boys.
Emo defeated Stradbally in the Division 2 Girls Shield where two sisters, Angela and Nuala Casey, were in opposition as managers.
Portarlington, Timahoe, Portlaoise Educate Together, Shanahoe, Borris-In-Ossory, Mayo and Clonaslee were the other winners on the day.
