Formerly of Marian Place, Portlaoise County Laois. Peacefully surrounded by his loving family at the Regional Hospital Portlaoise. Predeceased by his parents Mick and Alice, brother Tony and sister Martina.
Deeply regretted by his loving wife Deirdre, son Mark, brothers Michael, Brian and John, sisters Alison, Elaine, Marie, Ann and Geraldine, uncle Joe, Philip, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at Maher’s Chapel of Rest Portarlington (eircode R32 X5XV) on Sunday evening (19th November) from 4pm with Rosary at 7pm.
Funeral arriving St John’s Church Killenard, Portarlington (eircode R32 VW77) on Tuesday (21st November) for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery.

William (Billy) Fennell
Main Street, Stradbally, Laois
The death has occurred of William (Billy) Fennell, Main Street, Stradbally, Co Laois. Passed away on the 17th of November 2023 at University Hospital, Galway.
Predeceased by his wife Margaret. Sadly missed by his daughter Tracy, son Brian, son-in-law Eugene, daughter-in-law Margaret, grandchildren Lorraine, Ruaidhri, Cathal, Fiachra, Líadan, Deirbhile, sister-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and his many friends.
Billy will repose at the Presentation Chapel, Stradbally, from 6pm until 8pm on (Sunday 19th November), with Recital of the Rosary at 8pm. Requiem Mass on Monday in the Church of the Sacred Heart, Stradbally, at 11am. Interment to follow in Oakvale Cemetery.

O’REILLY (née Reddy) Ida (Seafield, Blackrock, Co. Dublin and formerly of Boley, Co. Laois) November 15, 2023. Peacefully at The Fern Dean Nursing Home, Deansgrange.
Beloved wife of the late Noel, loving mother of Tony, Sylvia and Eimear, mother-in-law of Jeannie, Frans and Paul, and grandmother of Emily and Lucy, and Aoife, John and Charlie. She will be greatly missed by her loving family, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, extended family and friends.
Funeral Mass on Saturday morning, November 18, at 10 am at the Church of the Assumption, Booterstown Avenue, A94 TR68, followed by burial at Dean’s Grange Cemetery.

Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Bridie, her brothers Tom, Joe and Jack, sisters in law Mary and Lucy, brothers in law Bill and Alan and her niece Colleen. Deeply regretted by her loving husband Pat, brothers, sisters, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.
Reposing in the Church of the Assumption, Ballyouskill, on Thursday, 16th of November, from 5pm, concluding with Rosary at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Friday 17th of November at 11am, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only, please. Elizabeth Taplin (née Cleary)

Elizabeth (Betty) Taplin (nee Cleary) (retired nurse) Tonlegee, Raheny, Dublin 5 and formerly Grogan, Rathdowney, Co. Laois, died peacefully on Monday, November 13th, 2023, after an illness bravely fought, with her loving daughters by her side.
Predeceased by her loving husband Les and her sisters Dinah and Peg. Betty will be sadly missed and forever remembered by her heartbroken children Aileen, Nuala, Cormac and Séan, her sisters Mary, and Jane, her granddaughters Sarah, Amy and Emilie, her great-grandson Patrick, sons-in-law Edward and Willie, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours and so many dear friends.
Reposing at O’Sullivan’s funeral home, Rathdowney (Eircode R32 NY24) on Thursday evening from 5 o’clock until 7 o’clock. Funeral Mass on Friday at 12 noon in The Church of the Most Holy Trinity, Rathdowney, followed by interment in Bealady Cemetery.
