Peacefully, at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny. Predeceased by her parents Joseph and Bridie, her brothers Tom, Joe and Jack, sisters in law Mary and Lucy, brothers in law Bill and Alan and her niece Colleen. Deeply regretted by her loving husband Pat, brothers, sisters, brothers in law, sisters in law, nieces, nephews, relatives, neighbours and a large circle of friends.
Reposing in the Church of the Assumption, Ballyouskill, on Thursday, 16th of November, from 5pm, concluding with Rosary at 7pm. Funeral Mass on Friday 17th of November at 11am, followed by burial in the adjoining cemetery. Family flowers only, please. Donations, in lieu of flowers, to the Palliative Care Team at St. Luke’s Hospital, Kilkenny.
Elizabeth Taplin (née Cleary)
Raheny, Dublin / Rathdowney, Laois
Elizabeth (Betty) Taplin (nee Cleary) (retired nurse) Tonlegee, Raheny, Dublin 5 and formerly Grogan, Rathdowney, Co. Laois, died peacefully on Monday, November 13th, 2023, after an illness bravely fought, with her loving daughters by her side. Predeceased by her loving husband Les and her sisters Dinah and Peg. Betty will be sadly missed and forever remembered by her heartbroken children Aileen, Nuala, Cormac and Séan, her sisters Mary, and Jane, her granddaughters Sarah, Amy and Emilie, her great-grandson Patrick, sons-in-law Edward and Willie, nieces, nephews, cousins, neighbours and so many dear friends.
Reposing at O’Sullivan’s funeral home, Rathdowney (Eircode R32 NY24) on Thursday evening from 5 o’clock until 7 o’clock. Funeral Mass on Friday at 12 noon in The Church of the Most Holy Trinity, Rathdowney, followed by interment in Bealady Cemetery.

Patrick Purcell (Lakeside Park, Newbridge, Co. Kildare and late of Crettyard, Co Laois) – 12th November 2023 (peacefully) at home surrounded by his loving family.
Sadly missed by his loving wife Josie, children Adrian, Ray, Damien, John, Alan, Yvonne, Caroline, Graham, Amy, Lynsey, Nigel and Lydia, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, partners, his adored grandchildren, brothers and sisters, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews and nieces, extended family, relatives, friends and army colleagues.
Reposing at his home on Thursday from 4pm with prayers at 7pm. Removal on Friday morning at 10.30am to arrive at Cill Mhuire, Ballymany, Newbridge for 11am Mass. Mass can be viewed on https://newbridgeparish.ie/cill-mhuire-church. Funeral afterwards to St. Conleth’s Cemetery, Newbridge.

Patricia Velazco, Old Deerpark, Ballyfin, Co. Laois, November 14th 2023. Passed away peacefully in Tullamore Regional Hospital. Deeply regretted by her loving daughters Katia and Jennifer, her loving grandson Joe and his boys Joseph and Ewan, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Cremation service will take place in Mount Jerome at 11am on Thursday morning.

Peacefully surrounded by her loving family at the Regional Hospital Portlaoise. Predeceased by her husband Jackie, son Raymond, grandson Stephen and sister Aileen. Deeply regretted by her loving family Rosaleen, John and Donal, brothers Paddy and John, son-in-law John, daughters-in-law Jo and Jennifer, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nephews, nieces, relatives, friends and neighbours.
Reposing at her residence (eircode R32 W300) on Tuesday from 4pm and Wednesday from 3pm with Rosary on both evenings at 8pm. Removal on Thursday morning at 11am arriving St Michael’s Church, Portarlington for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Funeral afterwards to St Michael’s Cemetery, Portarlington.
