Laois based trad-punk band, The Outcast Crew have just released a playlist from a recent live gig performed at Kavanaghs Bar and Venue, Portlaoise.
The show was captured by Craig Johnston Film and Video with front of house and audio recording handled by Kavanaghs in-house engineer Declan Dunne.

The 13 tracks were later mixed and mastered by Brian O’Mahoney.
“We wanted to capture the band in their raw form with warts and all,” explains the band’s accordion player Damien O’Meara.
Although the band only started in 2021, they have a string of successful gigs under their belt having played at the last two Electric Picnic festival and were a big hit at this years Forest Fest at Emo.
The band are currently recording their second album which is set to be released by Warner Chappell Production Music in Germany.
Their debut album, ‘Myths & Yarns’ made a big impression when it came out in 2021.
The album was released exclusively through Los Angeles licensing and publishing company ‘Songs to your Eyes’ and featured ten original songs about myths, folklore and singalong sea shanties all played with a sense of urgency.
The album was voted number 1 for ‘Best Debut Album and featured in the Top 20 new albums of 2021 by the influential Celtic punk website ‘London Celtic Punks’.
The 6-piece band are described as a perfect blend of all that is Celtic Punk.
You can clearly hear influences of 70’s classic punk (The Clash, Stiff Little Fingers, Sex Pistols) which are blended perfectly with the more Celtic influences of The Pogues and The Dubliners.
