This October Bank Holiday weekend a very popular Pumpkin Patch event will take place the GAA grounds in Clonad.
This will be the fourth staging of the Pumpkin Patch and organisers are gearing up for a great weekend.
It all began back in 2019 and then it was put off in 2020 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
However, hundreds flocked to Clonad in 2021 and 2022 when the event returned and a similar crowd is expected again.
Once again, admission is free and the only charge will be for whatever pumpkins you take away.
The organisers are offering pumpkin picking in the patch, a haunted maze, fun and games, pumpking carving, local musicians, cute photo opportunities, and fancy dress prizes.
A spokesperson said: “It’s our favourite time of year. Laois Pumpkin Patch 2023 is back.
“We are so excited for this year’s season. The patch will be open on Sunday and Bank Holiday Monday 29 and 30 of October from 11am to 3pm each day.
“Free admission, no booking required. Location is Clonad GAA grounds, Ballycarnan, Clonad Portlaoise. R32 X4O3
“Events planned include: Pumpkin picking in the patch; the popular haunted maze and lots more fun and games; local music; photo opportunities; fancy dress; hot food, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and fresh baked goods available on the day.
“Pumpkins will be priced by size and quantity picked.”
