Thirty countries were represented at a recent multicultural celebration, held in Maryborough National School.
The children of the school came adorned in traditional costumes, representing the many different cultures in attendance.
Students provided some beautiful performances; a highlight of the day was Senior Infants pupil, Martha singing a special Ukrainian song.
Meanwhile, some of the senior pupils played recorder, guitar and violin.
5th and 6th class have been researching countries around the world for a number of weeks, and their amazing projects were displayed today for everyone to enjoy.
The junior classes created fabulous African necklaces and flags to represent their individual countries.
There was an array of traditional dishes served from around the world.
The school wishes to thank all families who contributed towards this event.
As well as the teachers and SNAs for all of their work in the lead up to the special celebration, and Rev Alec Purser for his kind words and good wishes.
