The referees for Sunday’s big hurling county finals have been confirmed ahead of the matches.
Castletown’s Patrick Phelan will once again be involved as he is set to be the man in the middle for the Minor decider.
He was chief whistler last year when Clough-Ballacolla defeated Camross in the SHC – a first senior final for him after only taking up the whistle in 2019.
His umpires on the day will be Seamus Tobin, John Paul Phelan, Larry Cuddy and Oisin Phelan.
Meanwhile, Colt’s Padraig Dunne will officiate at the Senior final between Camross and Abbeyleix.
This will be his second final to oversee as he was there in 2021 when Clough-Ballacolla defeated Borris-Kilcotton in the delayed 2020 final.
Nathan Dunne, Robbie Moffitt, Sean Murphy and John Sinnott are set to be his umpires.
Shanahoe’s John Lalor and Rathdowney-Errill’s Kieran Bowe will be the linesmen while Portlaoise’s Brochan Reilly is the fourth official.
