14-year-old, Rebecca Allen, from Ballyroan, Laois completed a fantastic performance at the World Darts Federation World Cup last weekend.
The event was held in Denmark, where Rebecca was part of the Ireland Youth team.
Along with Sean McKeon, Christina Byrne, and Adam Dee, Rebecca’s Ireland finished second overall in their category.
In her individual section, Rebecca went all the way to the final, but just missed out on the top prize.
Rebecca also came away with a bronze medal in the pairs event, alongside partner, Christina Byrne.
The Ireland Women’s Team won the senior WDF World Cup, becoming the first nation other than England or the Netherlands to do so.
Rebecca grew up in a darts family, with both her uncle and her mother, Evelyn representing Kilkenny County.
She took to the sport like a natural, and now trains in Carlow Youth Academy.
The Ballyroan native rose through the rankings to qualify for Team Ireland and can already call herself a World Cup finalist.
Rebecca now returns to Heywood Community School where she is preparing to sit the Junior Cert.
