Larry Dunne, Knockiel, Rathdowney, Co. Laois, September 19th. 2023 peacefully surrounded by his family at the Midlands Regional Hospital Portlaoise. Predeceased by his parents Lar and Nora. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Mary, his adoring family Yvonne and Lorcan, daughters-in-law Linda and Laura, grandchildren Lorcan, Willow and Teddy, brother Pat, sisters Mary, Tess and Noreen, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, extended family, neighbours and a wide circle of friends.
Rest in Peace.
Reposing at his residence (Eircode R32 C8 H3) on Wednesday afternoon from 4 o’clock until 8 o’clock. Removal takes place to the Church of the Holy Trinity, Rathdowney on Thursday afternoon arriving for Requiem mass at 3 o’clock. Interment afterwards in Belady Cemetery, Rathdowney. Margaret Jones (née Meehan)
Foxcroft Avenue, Portarlington, Laois
Formerly of Tierhogar, Portarlington, County Laois. Peacefully surrounded by her loving family at Naas Hospital and previously in the wonderful care of the staff of Oghill Nursing Home, Monasterevin. Predeceased by her husband Tony Jones, parents Michael and Margaret Meehan. Sadly missed by her loving family, relatives and friends.

Reposing at Maher’s Chapel of Rest, Portarlington on Wednesday evening from 6:30pm with Rosary at 8pm. Removal on Thursday morning at 11:20am (travelling via the Lea Road) arriving St John’s Church, Killenard for Requiem Mass at 12 noon. Interment afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Peacefully in her 94th year surrounded by her loving family at Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise. Predeceased by her loving husband Dermot. Deeply regretted by her family Jim, Seán, Anne Marie, Gerri and Barry, daughters in law Betty, Mary and Emer, sons in law Paul and Gabby and sister in law Kathleen. Cherished Nanny to her 17 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren Eleana, Tommy, Áine, Barry and Ada, nieces, nephews, extended family and a large circle of friends.

Reposing at her son Jim’s residence in Dunmore (R32 V045) on Wednesday 20th September 2023 from 4pm – 8pm, Thursday, 21st September 2023, from 4pm with recital of Rosary at 8pm. Requiem Mass in the Church of the Holy Trinity, Durrow, Co. Laois on Friday, 22nd September 2023, at 2pm with burial immediately afterwards in adjoining cemetery.

Esther Rock (née Rowe), 27 Church Avenue. Stradbally, Laois. Predeceased by her husband Jim. Peacefully, surrounded by her loving family at the Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise on the 19th of September 2023. Sadly missed and forever loved by her daughters Margaret, Ashileen, Threna and Emily, sons, James, Eugene and John, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, nieces, nephews, brothers, sisters, extended family, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at her home from 3:30pm on Wednesday 20th with Recital of the Rosary at 8pm. Requiem Mass on Thursday at 11am in The Sacred Heart Church, Stradbally and afterwards Esther will be laid to rest in Oakvale Cemetery.

Removal from the Regional Hospital Portlaoise this Wednesday at 2.30 pm. to St. Michael and All Angels Church, Abbeyleix, for 3pm. Service. Burial afterwards in the adjoining Church Yard.

Eugene Young, Bellair, Clonaslee, Co. Laois, died the 16th of September 2023, peacefully, at his residence surrounded by his loving family.
Eugene, dearly loved husband of Brigid, loving father of James, Claire and Edel. Adored granddad of Annie, Eoghan, Cian, Abbey, Adam, Tom, Holly and Scott. He will be sadly missed by his sorrowing sisters Nuala, Essie and Nan, brothers Bob and Jimmy. Predeceased by his brothers Tommy and Pat and sisters Mary, Josie, Rose and Teresa. Deeply regretted by his daughter-in-law Bridget, sons-in-law Anthony and Rob, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and a large circle of friends.
