Non-residential farmlands near Capoley, Portlaoise recently sold for €11,730 per acre with Hennessy Auctioneers.
It was offered for sale by online auction and achieved a combined total of €305,000 – €55,000 above the guide price.
The circa 26-acre non residential farmlands are positioned down a cul-de-sac near Capoley, Portlaoise, Co. Laois and were guided at €250,000.
It was offered for sale in 3 lots by online auction:
- Lot 1 – circa 14 acres
- Lot 2 – circa 4.5 acres
- Lot 3 – circa 7.5 acres
There were three registered bidders and after three or four rounds of active bidding on each lot it was decided to put each lot on the market individually.
Each lot was sold as follows:
- Lot 1 €162,000
- Lot 2 €66,000
- Lot 3 €77,000
Drumagh, Crettyard, Co. Laois
In another online auction by Hennessy Auctioneers a circa 27.75-acre residential farm holding at Drumagh, Crettyard, Co. Laois sold for €488,000. It had been guided at €465,000.
It was offered for sale in 4 lots by online auction comprising:
- Lot 1 – circa 10 acres
- Lot 2 – Derelict Farm Cottage on circa 2 acres
- Lot 3 – circa 4.5 acres
- Lot 4 – circa 11.25 acres
After 3 or 4 rounds of active bidding on each lot, by the 10 registered bidders, it was decided to put each lot on the market individually.
Each lot was sold as follows:
- Lot 1 – €125,000
- Lot 2 – €104,000
- Lot 3 – €56,000
- Lot 4 – €203,000
Achieving €17,585 per acre and a combined total of €488,000, the lands went for €23,000 above the guide price.
