Last weekend marked a significant milestone at SOLAS, with the craft event organized by Events Manager Georgina Carey turning out to be the busiest and most remarkable of the year.
The event attracted an impressive turnout of 32 different stallholders, and it’s no wonder there’s now a waiting list to participate. The ‘Craft and Vintage Fair’ is slated to occur on the first Sunday of every month, and its commitment to quality and value sets a new standard for other markets to follow.
Educational Opportunities at SOLAS
As children return to their classrooms, it’s an opportune time for schools to consider booking educational courses at SOLAS. SOLAS Education offers a diverse selection of 12 hands-on courses covering areas such as food, farming, business, and technology.
These courses are designed specifically for Transition Year (TY) students and have gained immense popularity. To learn more about these courses, please visit https://ecogardenshop.ie/education/ or contact our Education Manager, Sundara, at 085 1381016.
SOLAS Welcomes Active Retirement Group from Tipperary
SOLAS also had the pleasure of hosting an active retirement group from Tipperary during the past week.
The visit included a guided tour of SOLAS, an engaging gardening talk by co-owner and horticulturist John Carey, a delightful lunch, and a 10% discount card for use in the shop and plants area on the day.
For those interested in booking a similar experience, please contact events@thegardenshop.ie or reach out to Georgina at 083 0452810.
