45 years on from when it all began – last weekend was a very special occasion for all in Lynam School of Irish Dancing.
Gabrielle Lynam opened her first ever class in Stradbally in 1978 – and they are still going strong today.
They performed at Electric Picnic on two occasions over the weekend and entertained the crowds.
At 4pm on Friday and on Sunday, Lynam School of Irish Dancing took to the Croi Stage for a Cheile Mhor For All.
Taking to Facebook, Lynams thanked all who made the events a great success.
They said: “Our leading lady and principal teacher Gabrielle Lynam opened her first ever class in Stradbally in 1978 and we’ve been here ever since.
“45 years on, we had the privilege of hosting two Ceili’s at the Electric Picnic here in Stradbally. What a weekend it was.
“Thank you to everyone who made the event such a great success.
“A special shout out to our pupils, dance mams/dads, former pupils, colleagues and friends for supporting us. You really made it all so special.”
Photographer Paul Dargan captured some great pictures from the performance.
