Ballyfin GAA held their fourth annual Golf Classic at the weekend.
Almost 200 golfers turned out in the picturesque surrounds of Mountrath Golf Club
The Liam Linden Memorial Tournament is a champagne golf classic, held in the memory of the club’s former manager.
The late Liam Linden was a well-known business man in Laois, who left a deep imprint in business, GAA, golf, and charity circles.
Liam was heavily involved in Ballyfin GAA, managing the club to the 2010 Junior Football Championship title.
Tournament organisers thanked Mountrath Golf Club, saying the course “was in pristine condition as always.”
They also thanked Ger and June Whelan in The Deadmans Inn for hosting the after Party, and to Donnacha Phelan, Raffle MC.
Congratulations to Wayne Darby, Kevin Hogan, Eddie Kelly and Declan Phelan, 1st Place overall winners who collected First Prize of four new golf bags and four green fees from the Heritage Golf Course, Killenard
