Colaiste Iosagain in Portarlington had 142 Leaving Certificate Established students and 32 Leaving Certificate Applied students sit exams in June.
Overall the results were excellent. Eight students received over 550 points and seven over 500 which means 15 or over 10% of the Leaving Cert established cohort received over 500 points.
Mitali Kumar was the highest achiever with 613 points, followed by Madison McGettrick with 590 points.
A further 10 students received in excess of 450 points which means 25 students or close to 18% of the Leaving Cert cohort received over 450 points.
The eight students who received over 550 points were Mitali Kumar, Madison McGettrick, Cate Conway, Vladimir Graur, Daragh Fox, Aoife Healy, Shauna Coleman and Eimear Connolly.

“I always said you would have to go far to find as dedicated and committed staff as you do here and these results prove that.
“On behalf of the Board of Management and the SMT – Thank you.
“The Leaving Cert class of 2023 included the children of three staff members – Tadgh O’Donnell, Senan Fitzpatrick and Cassie Rice all whom did very well.
“In the midst of the celebrations, the 230 First Years who started this morning were nearly forgotten about but thanks to Rosalin, Niamh and the Meitheal Team as well the Year Heads Catherine and Liam who kept an eye on the newbies. They were in safe hands.”
