Frank Bentley
Bray, Wicklow/Mountmellick, Laois
Frank Bentley of Bray, Co. Wicklow and formerly of Mountmellick, Co. Laois, passed away peacefully, on Friday, 4th August 2023, at St. Vincent’s Private Hospital, Dublin, surrounded by his loving family. Beloved husband of Irene and loving father of David, Barry and Kathrina, father-in-law of Carrie and adoring grandfather of Seán and Maeve, Finn and Riley. He will be sadly missed by his family, sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Reposing at Colliers Funeral Home, Old Connaught Avenue, Bray on Wednesday (Aug.9) from 7.00pm to 8.30pm. Requiem Mass on Thursday (Aug.10) at 10.30am in the Church of Our Lady Queen of Peace, Putland Road, Bray, followed by burial in Springfield Cemetery, Killarney Road, Bray. For those who are unable to attend, the mass may also be viewed on the parish webcam. Family flowers only please. Donations, if desired to Purple House Cancer Support.
Bridie Keenan (née Quigley)
Marian Avenue, Portlaoise, Laois
Bridie Keenan (nee Quigley) Marian Avenue, Portlaoise, Co. Laois. Died August 5th, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, in the Midlands Regional Hospital, Portlaoise. Predeceased by her parents and sister. Deeply regretted by her adored husband Tom, loving daughter Claire, sons Sean and David, her adored eight grandchildren, brothers, sister, brothers in law, sisters in law, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, work colleagues at Laois County Council, relatives and friends.
Reposing at Keegan’s Funeral Home on Monday evening, August 7th, from 6:30pm with rosary recital at 8pm. Removal from her home on Tuesday to arrive at SS Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise, for 12 noon requiem Mass. Interment afterwards in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery Portlaoise.
Joe Mallon
Hortland, Donadea, Kildare/Portlaoise, Laois
Mallon, Joe, Hortland, Donadea, Naas, Co. Kildare & Joe Mallon Motors Naas & Portlaoise, August 4th 2023, suddenly at his residence.
Sadly missed by his loving partner Patricia, Children Ethna, Anthony, Noel, Gemma & Philip and their mother Beatrice. His devoted grandchildren Abbie, Ben, Leah, Jack, Ann, James, Lucy, Ciara, Harry, Beatrice and Alice, sons & daughters in law Donnachadh, Richard, Rachel & Eimear. Patricia’s children Sabrina, Alan, Emma, Nicola, Bernard & Georgina and Patricia’s grand children. Joe will also be sadly missed and remembered by his relatives, his colleagues in Joe Mallon Motors & his many neighbours & wide circle of friends.

Formerly from Dublin. Peacefully surrounded by his loving family in the wonderful care of the staff of Suncroft Lodge Nursing Home County Kildare. Darling Dad of the late baby Aideen. Deeply regretted by his loving wife Oonagh, family Shivaun, Terry, Orlagh and Peter, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters, sons-in-law, daughters-in-law, extended family, neighbours and many friends.
Reposing at Maher’s Chapel of Rest, Portarlington (eircode R32 X5XV) on Monday evening (7th August) from 5pm with Rosary at 7pm. Removal on Tuesday morning (8th August) at 9:30am arriving St Michael’s Church, Portarlington (R32 HY38) for Requiem Mass at 10am. Funeral afterwards to the Victorian Chapel Mount Jerome Crematorium for Cremation Service at 1pm.
After Peter’s Cremation Service The family are inviting everyone back to Peggy Kellys for refreshments. (Across the road from Mount Jerome).
