Conroy, John (Jack) – 27th July 2023, (Clonshaugh, Dublin and formerly of Clonaslee, Co. Laois), (peacefully), surrounded by his loving family and in the wonderful care of staff at Beaumont Hospital. Beloved husband of Geraldine and loving father of Seibh, and stepdad of Ciara and Mark; very sadly missed by his family, grandchildren Alice, Abigail and Zoey, daughter-in-law Fiona, sister Maureen, sister-in-law Lillas, extended family, friends and neighbours.
John Kirwan
Cloncough, Mountrath, Laois
It is with deep sadness we announce the death of John Kirwan, Cloncough, Mountrath (Clock Tower Joinery), peacefully at home, after an illness borne with great courage and dignity. Beloved husband and best friend of Rosie, much loved brother of Mary, Billy and Elizabeth. John will be forever loved and dearly missed by his wife, siblings, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces & nephews, his loyal and trusted staff and his beloved animals.
Reposing at home on Saturday, 29th from 4pm – 8pm with rosary at 7:30pm.
House strictly private at all other times.
Funeral Mass on Sunday, 30th, at 12 noon in Shanahoe Church. R32 AH90. A private cremation service will follow.
Family flowers only. Donations, in memory of John, can be made to the Irish Cancer Society or Dogs Trust Ireland.
The family would like to sincerely thank all the doctors, nurses and staff of The Beacon Hospital and the Laois/Offaly Palliative Care Team for their wonderful care of John.

Teresa (Tess) Campion (née Browne), Levalley, Rathdowney, Co. Laois. 27th July 2023. Peacefully in the loving care of The Sacred Heart Nursing Home, Crosspatrick. Predeceased by her husband Paddy, brother Pat, sisters Mary (Whelan) and Peg (Smeaton). Sadly mourned by her loving family Margaret (Kelly), Maureen (Guilfoyle), Dave, Paul and Ray, her 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, brother Sean Browne (Kinnitty), extended family, neighbours, and friends.
Reposing at her daughter Maureen Guilfoyle’s residence (R32 K3E3) Akip, Rathdowney on Friday 28th July from 12 noon with rosary at 9pm. Funeral Mass on Saturday 29th July at 3pm in The Church of The Holy Trinity, Rathdowney followed by burial in Bealady cemetery. Family flowers only. Peacefully with his loving family by his side, in the care of the staff of Midlands Regional Hospital, Tullamore.
Predeceased by his son Brendan.
Deeply regretted by his devoted wife Nuala, his doting children Geraldine, Bernie, Maureen, Carmel, Angela and Chris, his adoring grandchildren Joanne, Aoife, Ciarán, Conal, Andrew, Ciarán, Killian, Fionnuala, Michael, Coleen, Daithí, Diarmuid, Chloe, Jake and Megan, his sons in law, daughter in law, his dear sisters, brothers, relatives, kind neighbours and large circle of loyal friends.
Reposing in Doyle’s Funeral Home, Roscrea E53 RX08, on Saturday 29th July, from 5pm to 8pm.
Private removal from his residence on Sunday morning, arriving in St. Cronan’s Church, Roscrea E53 PK82, for Requiem Mass at 11.30am. Burial afterwards in Dungar Cemetery.

Peacefully passed away in the dedicated care of the staff of University Hospital Limerick on 26th July 2023.
Sadly missed by his loving wife Mina, son Vincent, daughter in law Catherine, grandchildren Jamie, Conor and Isabella, Sister Breda, brothers Billy, Holly, Jody, Kerin and Tommy, extended family and friends.
Reposing at St Mary’s Church, Pallaskenry on Friday, 28th July, from 5:30pm to 7:00pm. Funeral mass on Saturday, 29th July, at 12 noon followed by burial immediately afterwards in Kilcornan Cemetery.

Peacefully in the excellent care of the Matron and staff of Milford Hospice, Limerick after a short illness borne with great courage, dignity and humour.
Predeceased by her parents Kitty and Joe and her sisters Reenie and Noreen, and sister-in-law Margaret.
Deeply regretted by her sister Esther, brothers Joseph, TF and Gerard, sisters-in-law Carole and Marianne, brother-in-law Leo, nieces, nephews, relatives, her very good neighbours and wide circle of friends.
Reposing in Tierney’s Funeral Home, Roscrea (E53 NY70) on Friday evening from 5pm to 7pm. Removal on Saturday morning at 10.30am from Tierney’s Funeral Home to St. Moula’s Church, Ballaghmore (R32 RC53) for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in the adjoining cemetery.

Adams Christine (Diana) Lakeglen, Portlaoise. July 27th 2023. Peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family. Dearly beloved wife of Dickie (Pat). Loving mother to Elizabeth, Julie, Richard, Joseph and Paul. Cherished grandmother to Lauren, Aaron, Donnacha, Jessica, Carina and Séan. Deeply regretted by her loving family, sisters, Mary and Susan, brother Pat, sons in law Raymond and Tony, daughter in law Catherine, nephews, nieces, relatives and neighbours.
Reposing at home on Friday from 2 pm, with rosary at 8 pm. Removal on Saturday to arrive at SS Peter and Paul’s Church for 12 noon requiem mass. Interment will follow afterwards in SS Peter and Paul’s Cemetery, Portlaoise.
Family flowers only. Donations, if desired, to the Irish Cancer Society or the Palliative Care Team.

Jonathan McCowen, Brisbane. Formerly Station Road, Portarlington, Co. Laois. It is with immense sadness that we announce the passing of Jonathan “Micko” McCowen, after a long illness, bravely battled. Beloved husband and soulmate of Sherie, and adoring dad of Darcy and Riley. Predeceased by his parents, Jon and Marie McCowen. Johnny will be sadly missed every day by Sherie, Darcy and Riley, his sister Louise (Galway), his brothers Paul (Naas) and Mark (Poland), sisters-in-law Maureen and Ladda, niece, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and his wide circle of friends at home and abroad.
Jonathan’s funeral service will take place at Our Lady of Graces Catholic Church, Carina on Tuesday, 1st August, 2023, commencing at 11.00am followed by burial at Mt Gravatt Cemetery. The funeral service will be livestreamed.
