New property development in Errill given the green light

Laois County Council has given the go-ahead for the construction of 14 houses in the village of Errill.

Furey Consulting Engineers Ltd sought planning permission from the Council in November of last year.

The project is to compromise of two four-bed, detached, two-storey homes, as well as 12 three-bed, semi-detached, two-storey homes.

A new vehicular entrance off the existing R433 road is to be included in the development, with provision for a new pedestrian path as well.

Ancillary work on the project is to include an internal access roads, infrastructure, landscaping and boundary treatments, and all associated site and development works and services.

It is the latest project in the area as Errill continues to grow.

The development comes nine months after the sod was turned on another 14-property development in the village.

That development was described as a key part of Laois County Council’s programme for the delivery of over 534 new social homes in Laois over the five-year period to from 2022 to 2026.
