The stage is set to welcome 10,000 music lovers to Forest Fest in Emo this weekend – as a new video gives a behind-the-scenes glimpse of the site.
The 50-second clip, posted on the festival’s Facebook page, shows teams of roadies erecting the main stage, with historic Emo Court in the background.
The action then switches to the music and arts fiesta’s Circus Big Top, which will feature shows for kids of all ages and staged by the Broken Theatre group.
An array of food trucks driving in to place is also shown, as well as images of the colourful entrance to the festival site at Emo GAA grounds.
Headline acts James, Sister Sledge and Suede, alongside almost 100 other international and Irish artists, will entertain revellers from ttoday (July 21) until Sunday (July 23).
“We have a great line up in store to suit all tastes,” said festival organiser and solicitor Philip Meagher.
“From disco legends Sister Sledge to Indie giants James and Suede, as well as best-selling artists such as Suzanne Vega, Gabrielle and The Proclaimers, there is something for everyone.
“There is also the Forest Fleadh stage which will feature Paul Brady, Sharon Shannon and Stockton’s Wing.
“The Port Art Collective will also deliver excellent children’s shows to keep all the family entertained.”
Although caravan and campervan tickets for the three-day event, dubbed ‘Ireland’s easiest festival’, are sold out, some day and weekend passes are still available.
