The much anticipated Forest Fest kicks off in Emo today with gates set to open at 4pm.
Ahead of that, the man behind the event, Philip Meagher, has sponsored Emo GAA’s new senior football jerseys.
They were recently unveiled at Emo GAA grounds and a spokesperson for the club thanked all involved.
They said: “Forest Fest are the main sponsors of Emo GAA for 2023, along with sponsorship for jerseys and equipment they will also be donating money to the club and the neighbouring clubs and committees in Emo.
“Thanks to Philip Meagher there has been a lot of sponsorship done over the last two years as well as numerous other contributions and initiatives in upgrading the facilities in Emo.
“We would also like to thank Gavin Kavanagh of Kavanagh Painting Solutions Ltd who has sponsored a set of training jerseys.”
The second year of Forest Fest is attracting some of the world’s best known artists, alongside a host of Irish stars.
The three-day music and arts festival takes place in a stunning, wooded background bordering Emo Court.
Nearly 100 artists will perform over the course of the weekend, with a stellar international line-up and the cream of Irish bands.
The headliners are James (Friday), Sister Sledge featuring Kathy Sledge (Saturday) and Suede (Sunday).
The star-studded line up also includes Scottish folk twins The Proclaimers, Ash, Suzanne Vega, Something Happens, Bell X 1, Sharon Shannon and even Oasis and The Beatles tribute bands.
