A number of Laois businesses were among the winners at the Midlands 103 Customer Service Awards held in the Mullingar Park Hotel on Monday night.
Over 500 people attended the gala event, where over 60 awards were presented across a range of sectors.
Joe Mallon Motors in Portlaoise scooped the prestigious Car Dealership award while there were also Laois winners in the Beauty, House and Home and Wedding sectors.
There was particularly strong Laois representation in the Beauty sector where Iris Hand & Foot Spa in Portlaoise claimed two awards – the overall Nail Salon of the Year, while Kim was the Nail Technician of the Year.
Hair Stylist of the Year was Rosemary Knight from Kilminchy Hair Design while Laura Behan was named Make Up Artist of the Year.
Midlands Park Hotel also picked up two awards – Workplace of the Year and Personal Trainer of the Year was Irene Ogbulafor.
Floor Store of the Year was Leonard Carpets while Nolan’s Locksmiths were Locksmiths of the Year and the Dunamaise Arts Centre was the Entertainment/Arts Facility of the Year.
There was also two winners in the highly competitive Wedding Sector where Brophy Videography won Wedding Photographer/Videographer of the Year and Smart Brides in Portlaoise was the Wedding Bridal Store of the Year.
The Farm Machinery Supplier award was won by Casey Agri, Garryhinch.
The now annual Midlands 103 event honours businesses, services and individuals from across counties Laois, Offaly and Westmeath.
Over 12,000 nominations were made in the 60 plus categories.
An independent judging panel included the Rose of Tralee and Westmeath’s Rachel Duffy, Portlaoise Motoring Journalist Bob Flavin, Star of Netflix and BBC’s Glow Up James McInerney from Abbeyleix, Dermot Jewell from The Consumers Association, Ciara Crossan founder & CEO of weddingdates.ie and Architect and Home of the Year’s Hugh Wallace.
Entertainment on the night was provided by Joe Wynne Music, Sax Appeal, Dickie Donnelly Entertainment and The Lols Wedding Band.
