Clonaslee High Nelly Club is planning a ‘Community Care Cycle’ for the village on Sunday, July 2.
It will be an enjoyable day for all, supporting grassroots organisations at the very heart of Clonaslee.
These organisations include Clonaslee Tidy Towns, who do outstanding work maintaining the presentation of the village, and the annual and much-loved Old Folks Party – an opportunity to celebrate senior citizens.
The event will also raise funds for the Clonaslee High Nelly Club, enabling them to continue with further fundraising efforts.
One of the attractions on the day will be a draw with fantastic prizes including €300 in cash sponsored by Clonaslee High Nelly Club, a car trailer load of turf and timber sponsored by Frank McRedmond.
There will also be a day of pampering complete with a photoshoot thanks to Chevaux and Darren Kennedy Photography.
Other goodies include a night’s B&B from the Maldron Hotel, a wine hamper by Hickey’s, 20 Bales of briquettes and a food hamper.
An evening of live music will bring the busy day to a close in Hickey’s Pub.
Registration begins at 1pm in the Square. €20 per entry. The high nelly-riders set off at 2pm and an eye-catching procession of Vintage Cars will commence at 4 pm.
Clonaslee High Nelly Club said: “We cannot wait to welcome those from Clonaslee and further afield for a long-planned day in support of causes at the heart of village life.
“If you’re considering cycling, we will have a large selection of bicycles available on the day and we encourage all vintage car enthusiasts to come along too.
“There is something for everyone, and all who attend will enjoy winning hospitality from our long-time supporters and sponsors at Hickey’s Pub. We also want to thank PipeFab.ie for sponsoring our lovely signs.”
