Laois Together – a partnership between Music Generation Laois, Laois Partnership and Laois Integration Network – has announced the schedule for this year’s Laois Le Chéile.
Free events for families including music, circus and art and crafts workshops and live performances will take place in Laois Music Centre to mark Cruinniú na nÓg 2023.
Cruinniú na nÓg is a national day of Creativity for children and young people, supported by Creative Ireland Laois, Laois County Council.
Now in it’s second year, Laois Le Chéile, will take place between 1pm and 4pm on Saturday 10 June.
On the Le Chéile Stage, families can enjoy performances by Malva Ukrainian Choir, The Bandwagon House Band, Open Mics, Singers from Laois Partnership’s Afterschools Programme and a Slapdash Show from Symmetry Circus.
In the Le Chéile workshop area, children age between 3 and 6 can take part in early years music workshops with Ta ta tum!
Children age 6-12 can take part in Samba and Body Percussion with Beat Goes On.
Meanwhile, children and young people age 8 upwards can take part in a circus skills workshop with Symmetry Circus.
Arts and crafts workshops will run throughout the afternoon.All events are free of charge, all materials and musical instruments are supplied for the workshops.
This annual family day of arts and creativity is open to all communities across Laois, existing and new.
