Gardai are appealing for witnesses to come forward after a number of cars were broken into and property stolen.
The incidents occurred on Sunday night into Monday morning in Portlaoise.
A number of men accessed cars and committed burglaries in the Blueberry Hill and New Park areas.
Gardai are appealing for anyone with information on what happened to contact them.
They say: “Portlaoise Gardai are investigating a number a burglaries in the Blueberry Hill and New Park areas of Portlaoise.
“A number of males accessed cars also and property was stolen.
“One youth has been arrested with some property recovered.
“We are appealing for information if you were in these areas overnight and saw anything suspicious to report it to 0578674100.”
