Kyle GAA will be hosting Fittest Family – Kyle Style – a fundraiser at the GAA pitch in Ballaghmore.
The club has stressed that the event taking place on Sunday, May 28 is an important fundraiser, but will be fun.
This is the second year of this event where teams consist of an adult and two primary school going children.
“It’s a great fun day out for all the family with the proceeds split between Kyle juveniles and our local school Gaelscoil Sli Dala,” a spokesperson for Kyle GAA said.
“We are delighted this year that Coillte have come on board to sponsor the event so in addition to loads of round bales, pipes, hanging tough there will be an array of timber related obstacles.”
Last year, the event included nine different events:
Hanging tough; backs against the wall; water barrel and sponge; balancing beam beanbag race; five legged race; tire drag; welly throw; piggyback race; and the obstacle course.
There is still space for a few more teams.
Anyone interested will see further details on the Kyle GAA Facebook page and by texting David on 086 0221775.
