There were plenty of smiles in Emo recently as a Laois senior footballer hosted a GAA camp for the first time.
The Sean Greene Football Camp took place in Emo GAA grounds during the Easter break.
Greene is a former Laois U-20 captain and has nailed down a place in the Laois senior team this year.
His first camp attracted boys and girls from the Emo and Rath areas.
And those in attendance received coaching from a host of GAA stars.
Laois senior goalkeeper Scott Osborne was there to provide some expert tips on what it takes to play in goals.
Emo’s duo Paddy Hosey and Davy Costello plus Crettyard’s Evan O’Carroll showed the children how to become a top scoring forward.
While Kieran Lillis, Jamie Keenan and Kevin Swayne crossed over from Portlaoise to share their knowledge.
The Ladies were well represented too as Aisling Donoher, Aoibhe Byron, Becky Fenlon and Rebecca Reddin were also present.
Plans are in place for a second camp to take place in the summer from July 10 to 14.
Forms will be handed out in Emo NS and Rath NS while pre-registration can be made via this google forms link.
People can also sign up on the day of camp. Check out some great pictures below:
