Paddy Lee, Bay Road, Mountmellick, died May 6th, at the Midlands Regional Hospital, Tullamore, surrounded by his loving family.
Predeceased by his parents Thomas and Ellen, son Joseph and grandsons Jack and Callum. Beloved husband of Mary (nee Delaney) Cardtown Camross.
Treasured Dad of Patrick, Tommy, Mary, George, Sylvia, Lorraine and Marcie. Best Grandad to Curtis, Chelsea, Aleesha, Torrie, Billy, Kevin, Dan, Jay, Leah, Moira, Chloe, Jake, Lexi, Karrie, Alex, TJ, Tommy and Maci. Deeply regretted by his extended family and friends.
Reposing in Moloney’s Funeral Home, Mountmellick, on Sunday from 4pm with recital of the rosary at 5.30pm. Funeral arriving to St. Joseph’s Church, Mountmellick, on Monday morning for Requiem Mass at 11am, via Bay Road. Burial after in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.
Paddy’s family would like to express their deep gratitude to those who cared for their beloved Dad. A special Thank You to Eddie, Eleanor and Jim who went above and beyond for Paddy “Rest Easy, Dad”.

Alice Carleton (née Dowling)
Sutton, Dublin/Ballylinan, Laois
Carleton (née Dowling) Alice, Sutton, Dublin 13 and formerly of Ballylehane Lower, Ballylinan, Co. Laois. 5th May 2023. Peacefully, in her 100th year, in the wonderful care of the staff in TLC Santry. Beloved wife of the late Nicholas and predeceased by her infant daughter, son Kevin, brother Pat and sister Bridie. Very sadly missed by her loving daughter-in-law Trish, her adored grandchildren Jenny, Cathy and Gary, nephews, niece, extended family, friends and neighbours.
Reposing in Staffords Funeral Home, Golf Links Road, Portmarnock on Wednesday, 10th May, from 3pm to 5pm. Removal to St. Peter and Paul’s Church, Baldoyle on Thursday morning for 10am Funeral Mass followed by burial in St. Fintan’s Cemetery, Sutton.

Mary Matthews (née Cooney)
Formerly of St Brigid’s Place, Portlaoise, Laois
Predeceased by her loving husband Liam and daughter Julie (Dwane)
Much loved mother of Eddie, Liam, Paddy, Raymond, Marie & Sarah. Deeply regretted by her loving family, sons in law, daughters in law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, extended family relatives and friends.
Mary’s requiem Mass took place on Saturday, 6th May, with interment after in SS Peter & Paul’s cemetery, Portlaoise.
Denis Patrick Connolly
Vesey Close, Abbeyleix, Laois/Dundalk, Louth
Formerly of Dundalk. Peacefully in the tender care of the staff of Portlaoise General Hospital. Beloved husband of Anne, and cherished father of Barry, Siobhain and Denis. Sadly missed and remembered with love by his wife, children, daughters-in-law, son-in-law, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and all of the extended Connolly family.
Removal to the Church of The Most Holy Rosary, Abbeyleix on Monday the 8th of May for 11am. Requiem Mass. Cremation will take place afterwards in Glasnevin Crematorium at 1.30pm. Flowers only. Contributions in lieu to charity.

The death has occurred of John Cormac Lally, Abbeyleix and formerly Cabinteely, on 4th May 2023, passed away peacefully, in the care of his loving family. Predeceased by his brother Patrick, Cormac will be sadly missed by his beloved wife Patricia, his daughters Geraldine, Anne, (McKenna), Catherine (McGowan), his sons Cormac & Richard, sons-in-law David, Anselm & Vince, daughters-in-law Eileen & Collette, his brother Dermot (Naas), sisters Kay Merry (Rathfarnham), Moira Sweeney (Bray), his grandchildren Cormac, Caitríona, Diarmuid, Fintan, Ross, Orla, Clíodhna, Eábha, Aidan, Tomás, Sadhbh, Amelia, Conor & Caoimhe and his wide circle of extended family and friends.
Reposing at his daughter’s house Ballyroan (R32 W3Y9) Friday, 5th May, 3-8pm & Saturday, 6th May, 2-5pm. Reception of remains to the Church of the Most Holy Rosary, Abbeyleix, at 6pm Saturday, 6th May, with Requiem Mass at 2pm on Sunday, 7th May, followed by burial at St. Patrick Cemetery, Abbeyleix. Family flowers only, donations received with thanks to Alzheimer’s Society and Threshold.
Kathleen (Kit) Brown (née Fitzgerald)
Garryheather, Clonaslee, Laois
Kathleen (Kit) Brown nee Fitzgerald, Kilburn London and formerly of Garryheather, Clonaslee, Co. Laois. Died on the 14th of April 2023, peacefully, surrounded by her loving family.
Predeceased by her parents James and Anne Fitzgerald, and her husband Gordon.
Kathleen will be sadly missed by her daughter Cynthia, her son Mark, son-in-law Alex, brothers Jimmy (Coventry) and Joe (Garryheather), sisters-in-law Bridie and Josie, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.

Deeply regretted by his sister-in-law Helen Muldowney, nieces and nephews Tara, Andrew, Michael and Lisa, their spouses Kevin, Brenda, Rachel and David, grandnieces, grandnephews, relatives, extended family and friends in Ireland and the United Kingdom.
In keeping with Barry’s wishes a private funeral and cremation will take place in the coming days.

Joe will be sadly missed and forever remembered by his wife, daughter, son, grandchildren Freya and Rosa, brothers Sam, Robert and William, sisters Muriel, Florence and Dorothy , son in law Jonathan, daughter in law Elizabeth, nieces, nephews and extended family and friends.
