A crowd of more than 10,000 is expected in O’Moore Park this afternoon as the Dublin footballers take on Laois in the Leinster championship quarter-final.
It will mean a range of traffic restrictions around the town – including the closure of Main Street and Fr Browne Avenue as well as the closure of the Abbeyleix road for incoming traffic.

- N77 Abbeyleix Road Closed inbound for traffic but Traffic can travel out bound
- Traffic asked to follow directional signs on M7 and use Junction 18
- Access and parking still available at Midway way car park and Portlaoise plaza from Junction 17 on N77
- Main street Portlaoise Closed from 12-5pm for match patrons
- Fr Brown Road closed to Traffic before, During and after game for patron safety
- Mounted Unit will be in attendance
Parking
- Limited parking but parking available at Laois Centre of excellence adjacent to Laois Hire O Moore park
- Patrons are advised to arrive at least one hour before throw-in to allow for parking and adequate time to walk to the stadium
- Parking within the immediate area of O’Moore Park is limited in public places (Wheelchair access with wheelchair permit only)
- Weather permitting parking will be available on Pitch 3 at O’Moore Park Centre of Excellence with access from Father Brown Road (entrance to O’Moore Park at An Post SDS Portlaoise); exit will be onto the Abbeyleix Road from the Centre of Excellence only.
- Father Brown Road closed to all traffic between Abbeyleix Roundabout and An Post SDS, for the purpose of patron safety.

Traffic restrictions
The Abbeyleix Road in Portlaoise, the N77, is closed for roadworks and there is no access inbound for traffic coming into Portlaoise from the Meelick road.
Outbound traffic will not be restricted. Access to the Midway car park and the Portlaoise Plaza is still possible in and outbound from Junction 17.
A traffic restricted cordon zone will be reserved and identified with Garda parking cones and any such areas will be tow-away areas. Offenders are liable to a tow away fee of €130.
