Deeply regretted by his loving wife Jean, children Mary, Fiona, William and Craig, brothers John, Eugene and Richard, sisters Margaret and Noreen, sons-in-law Richard and Paul, daughter-in-law Sarah, brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, grandchildren Jordan, Luke, Theresa, Katie and Saoirse, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
Reposing at his daughter Fiona’s residence, 14 Radharc Alainn, Arles (R93X2V9) from 12 noon on Saturday (April 22nd ) with Rosary at 9pm on Saturday and Sunday evenings. Removal on Monday morning to St. Anne’s Church, Ballylinan for Requiem Mass at 11am followed by burial afterwards in St. Anne’s Cemetery.
Phyllis Sandgrove (née Brophy)
Derrygarron, Portlaoise, Laois, R32 X7DH
Phyllis Sandgrove Derrygarron. (R32X7DH ) Portlaoise 21st April 2023. Peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.
Dearly loved husband to Peter and loving mother to Nicola, Lloyd, Brian and Simon. Cherished grandmother to Katie, Tony, Billy, Ellie, Alfie, Leah, Jack, Alisha, and Logan. Deeply regretted by her loving family. Son in law David, daughters in law Áine, Niamh and Chanakan. Brother John. Sisters in law Rita, Barbara. Brother in law Donald. Nieces, nephews. Relatives and friends.
Reposing at her family residence from 2 pm on Sunday with rosary at 8 pm. Removal on Monday to arrive at SS Peter and Pauls Church for 12 noon mass. It may be viewed on https://www.portlaoiseparish.ie/webcam/.
Bernadette Keenan (née Dolan)
French Court, Strokestown, Roscommon/Portlaoise, Laois
Suddenly at her home. Predeceased by her husband Pat (Portlaoise) and her parents Gerard and Alice Dolan (Annaghbeg, Strokestown).
Bernadette will be sadly missed by her sorrowing family, sisters Maura, Annette, Martina and Rose, brother J.J., nephews, nieces, grandnephews, grandnieces, brother-in-law Matt, sister-in-law Anne, relatives, neighbours and friends.
Reposing at McHugh’s Funeral Home Strokestown, on Friday 21st April from 6pm to 8pm. Removal on Saturday 22nd April to Strokestown Parish Church for Funeral Mass at 11am. Burial afterwards in the local cemetery.

Declan Bergin, Grenville, Portlaoise and formerly Cullohill. Died 17th April suddenly but peacefully at home. Predeceased by his father Tim and mother Mary. Deeply regretted by his loving brothers John, Vincent, Aidan and Paschal, sisters Ursula and Louise. Sisters in law, brothers in law, aunt Laura, Uncle Fr Paschal Bergin (Texas), nieces, nephews, gran-nieces, gran-nephews, relatives, neighbours, friends and his colleagues at the Midlands Park Hotel Portlaoise.
Reposing at Keegan’s Funeral Home, Portlaoise on Friday evening from 7pm with rosary at 8pm. Removal on Saturday to SS Peter and Paul’s Church, Portlaoise for 12 noon requiem mass. May be viewed on https://www.portlaoiseparish.ie/webcam/. Interment will follow in Durrow Cemetery.
Patrick O’Brien
Portarlington, Laois/Milltown, Dublin
It is with great sadness that the family of Patrick (Paddy) Neville O’Brien announce his death, (peacefully) in the kind care of the staff on the cardiac care unit of St James’s hospital on April 17th 2023. He was predeceased by his parents Margaret (née Neville) and James, and by his sister Margaret (Croke). Deeply regretted by his sisters Madeleine and Rosemary (Hamrogue), brother Jimmy, nieces Angela, Emma and Maria, nephews Michael, James and Eamon, his grand-nieces and grand-nephews. He will be missed by his wide circle of friends and colleagues particularly from the Railway Records Society, and the Railway Preservation Society of Ireland.

Dr. Ramesh Nagabathula
Killenard, Portarlington, Laois
Peacefully in the care of the wonderful I.C.U. staff at St James Hospital, Dublin. Sadly missed by his loving wife Fiona and his precious little girls Tara and Róisín, brother Shiva and family, parents-in-law Pat and Pauline, sister-in-law Linda, brothers-in-law Paul and Brendan. Deeply regretted by his many friends and colleagues at the Midland Regional Hospital, Portlaoise and his friends in Ireland and around the World.
Reposing at Maher’s Chapel of Rest Portarlington (eircode R32 X5XV) on Thursday evening from 6:30pm until 8pm. Removal on Friday morning at 10:20am arriving St John’s Church, Killenard (eircode R32 VW77) for Funeral Service at 11am. Removal afterwards to the Garden Chapel Mount Jerome Crematorium for Cremation Service at 2:15pm.

Deeply regretted by his brothers Tom and Noel, sisters Chris Carroll and Mar, nephews Derek, Patrick and Kenneth, nieces Sinead, Louise, Sharon and Karen, aunt Joan Dunne, sister-in-law Marie, Noel’s partner Emily, grandnephews, grandnieces, extended family and many friends.
Reposing at the Breen family residence St. Fergal’s Park, Ballacolla from 2pm. to 8pm. on Sunday. Removal to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, Ballacolla on Monday for 12 noon Requiem Mass.Burial afterwards in the adjoining Cemetery. House private on Monday by request.
