Gardai in Laois arrested two drug drivers in separate incidents in the county on Tuesday.
One driver was found to be under the influence of cocaine while the other had cannabis in their system.
A Garda spokesperson said: “Laois Roads Policing Unit on patrol in the county arrested two Drug Drivers.
“One under the influence of Cocaine and the other under the influence of Cannabis. Court proceedings commenced.”
Meanwhile, Gardai also carried out speed enforcement measures in Ballylinan on Tuesday.
This was as a result of concerns that were raised by locals in relation to the speed that vehicles were travelling at.
As a result, a number of fines have been issued.
Gardai said: Laois Roads Policing Unit conducted speed enforcement in Ballylinan Village this morning in response to local concerns.
“A number of fixed charge notices were issued.”
